Mount Kenya National Park occupies the heart our beautiful country Kenya. In Africa, it’s the second highest Mountain after Mount Kilimanjaro. It is not a mountain to be read on books but a mountain to be seen Physically. Its third highest peak is frozen and is called Point Lenana and is really close to the Equator. The mountain has a special place in the heart of the Kikuyu Community and the entire nation at large. The ideal time to visit Mount Kenya is during the dry months mid-January to late February and late August to September. It is advisable to take a guard to assist you get to the peak.
There are several routes to get to the pick. This include:
Naro Moru Route-It is a straight forward route and less scenic
Sirimon Route-The route has gentle ascent with lots of scenery
Chogoria route- The Chogoria route is steep with lots of scenery
